Enjoy a full day of polar bear viewing from the unique Tundra Buggy®. You'll see the bears in their natural habitat, up close and personal, as the bears natural curiosity lures them to the Tundra Buggy® to "check us out."
Other wildlife is often seen on the Tundra in addition to the polar bears: ptarmigan, great snowy owls, snow buntings, Arctic fox, Cross fox, and Arctic hares.
Departs Churchill 7.45 a.m., returns approximately 5.15 p.m.
Cost: $375 (Canadian dollars), which includes round trip transportation from Churchill to the Tundra Buggy® launch site (about 1/2 hour east of town), eight hour adventure aboard the Tundra Buggy®, lunch and applicable taxes.
Full payment is required at the time reservations are made. Seats are limited. Reservations cancelled prior to 7 September, 2012 are refundable less a $25 per person service fee. No refunds on reservations cancelled after 6 September, 2012.
Accessibility: Passengers must be able to climb one flight of stairs to access the Tundra Buggy®. There is one pit-style toilet on board. Windows open for photography. There is an open back platform for unobstructed photography.
